I wasnt planning on writing this, but here i am.

This past week was pretty good. We went bowling for p-day, that was pretty fun with a bunch of us. On wednesday i went on an exchange to Strongsville, a well to do area in our district and had a good time. While tracting, i did one of my normal “ghetto” door approaches. The responce was a weird look and a closed door. My temporary comps reaction was great too. He said i had the best ghetto approach he’s heard, but it didnt do so well in a rich area.  We had a good laugh.

We had a pretty cool thunder/wind/rain storm on thursday. Lightning was flashing every few seconds for a good half hour. I wish i had my camera on me.

Speaking of which, sorry i dont have any pictures this week. Next week i will.

Write me some letters, i barely get any.

Hey everyone, not too much to write about but here goes.

We had our final zone confrence with President this past week. He told
us how much he’ll miss the mission, and how much he’ll miss being
President. He also showed us a picture of President Sorensons family.
I have a really good feeling about the guy. I’ll miss president
peterson a ton though.

The rest of the week was ok. We went to the zoo for p-day and ended up
having to walk a mile because of a huge traffic backup. We had about
half of the zone with us, so it was alot of fun.

We’ve been working hard and finding new people, so pray for them.
Everything is going really well out here. I miss you all.

Hey everyone. Another great week in cleveland.

This week was a good one. We had a fun p-day playing mini golf at a blacklight golf course, then played some frisbee. We had a good zone meeting on tuesday.  Thursday we hit downtown cleveland. We contacted in a big mall called Tower City and all over downtown, the people werent too receptive, but i loved it.

After that we rode the train to the mission office and picked up my bike which had just gotten out of the shop. Later that night, i blew out a tire. However the lord was watching out for us. After it blew out, we walked the few blocks to the next appoitment, who happened to be a less active and her home teacher was just leaving. To make the story short, the home teacher gave us and our bikes a ride back home (if he hadnt, we wouldve had to walk 2 miles through the ghetto to catch the train, then catch the bus downtown, huge blessing)

The rest of the week was great. We had a baptism of Eli. His dad is a member, and he finally got to baptise his son. Everyone was really happy.

I love this missionary work. So many good things happen.

Another week in Cleveland has wrapped up, and things are getting better.

The week started off with another mileage cut, but we later were told that we get a monthly rta bus pass, so that helps us out a ton. My bike broke down, but i should be getting it back this week sometime.  We had a really good week finding people. We’ve been working in Garfield Heights, which is more middle class than anything, so we think we’re finding more solid people. The ghetto is fun, but nobody is ever there for the 2nd appointment.

I had my last interview with president, and he really doesnt want to go home yet. I’ll miss him alot, and i really learned alot from him.

We’re meeting up with the rest of our district for p-day today. Playing mini golf, frisbee and hanging out. We dont have the miles to play basketball unfortunatly.

Its great being in cleveland, sorry i dont have any new pictures.

Hey everyone.

Well its been a tough week i guess you’d say. We lost a bunch of miles on our car, and the areas are pretty complicated to work in, so the stress level is high. Things are going well though. already knowing elder carter bypassed the whole ‘getting to know you’ awkwardness of getting a new comp.  Cleveland is a good place. Lots of missionaries around, and lots to do.

bummer is that i only get 30 minutes to email, because of how crowded the libraries are.

The ward here is good, lots of married young students from out west (everyone here is in school to be foot doctors) So i’m familiar with how the ward works.

Everything else is pretty good. I’m pretty sure this will be my busiest area yet.

Hey everyone, i’m getting transferred tomorrow. I’m really sad to be leaving, and i wish i could finish my mission here, but the Lord needs me elsewhere. Missionary life can suck sometimes. Anyways, i’m still positive and i hope that i go up to the Cleveland area. Either way, i’ll let you all know where i end up soon.  Thanks alot everyone, and thank you Massillon ward.

UPDATE: I’ve got a new area now, and im so excited for it. I got my wish and im Serving in Garfield Heights/West cleveland! Which to you people is West Cleveland and Downtown Cleveland. I’m serving with Elder Carter, who i lived with in Massillon for 2 transfers.

I’m really excited to be here, this is what i wanted.

Perhaps i have just had my final full week in Massillon. If it is so, i’ll write up a separate post just for memories. We had a great week, and it was capped off by the Baptisms of Jacob, and Cody, and also Larece. This area has been by far my favorite area, and i have seen alot of miracles and success here. Church was great as well. Many people wished me luck, and i had a good time saying goodbye. The funny thing is that we wont know till tomorrow if we’re getting transferred. To be honest, i’d love to stay for another round. I’ve enjoyed the 6 months here, and it’d be sweet to stick around another month and a half. But either way, i’ve enjoyed it. The church is true. Enjoy the pictures.

Hey everyone, another week in Massillon is underway.

Besides stupid sinus problems and bad allergies, this week has been pretty good.
We should be having some baptisms this week, they almost feel through, but with some praying, and other things the baptisms are still on.

Its interesting working with 3 missionaries, and 3 very different from each other guys as well. We get along, for the most part and we go out and kick butt everyday on the streets of Massillon and Canton. The work has been good, we’re busier than ever, but i guess thats what comes with covering 2 good areas.  Besides being sick and working through it, everything is good. We’re having a cookout for p-day today, the zl’s have a bbq, and we have a ton of burgers and hotdogs. Add in some basketball and football, and it’ll be a fun day.

If you send me any letters past thursday or friday of this week send them to the mission office. Transfers are next wednesday.  Take care everyone, enjoy the weather.

Hello everyone.
We had a pretty good week. We’ve finally worked out most of the kinks of combining 2 areas into 1 and how and where to work. We had a baptism this past saturday. Ralph, who was a non member married to a less active was baptised. To make a long story short, the missionaries here got in contact with him in march, him and his wife have been very generous with us, we all taught him and he got baptised and they are both active now. The Lord blesses us so much lately. It was great it witness another baptism and we can tell that Ralph will be solid. Very social, smart and is quite the funny guy.

Other things that went on this week. Church was good and i got to talk to my family since it was mothers day. It was good to hear from them. They all seemed to emphasize on   me figureing out what i need to do when i get home. That’s good since i havent put much thought into it.

Everything else is going well. Transfers are on the 27th. We’re working hard, and having some fun as well. I love you all, sorry for the terrible sentence and puntuation.

Well, another interesting week has gone down in the field. We get a call Thursday telling us that Elder Carter is getting emergency transfered on friday at zone confrence. So as of now, and for the rest of the transfer, we are in a triple up. Me, Elder Blair and Elder Turner, with Turner being the district leader over a 3 man district. Doesnt make too much sense, but i’ve learned not to ask questions.

New '08 Malibu

We got a new car, a dark gray 08 Malibu. I love the feel of those cars. With the triple-up we’ve combined the 2 areas and now have a few more baptisms lined up. It’ll be exciting to help out with those. Everything else is going by just fine. I’m not getting alot of mail, but not sending much either. The work goes well out here. Take care everyone.
